What I liked

The culture and internship experience at Superfly is unbeatable! The entire summer, as an intern for the Social Media Marketing and Client Services team, I felt very utilized, useful, and welcomed. Through my experience, I gained a lot of knowledge regarding project management, client services, and the music/entertainment industry as a whole. Superfly's internship program is small and well developed, and the company provides its interns with an abundance of networking and personal/career development experiences.

What I wish was different

Although the Social Media Marketing and Client Services team consisted of (I think) some of the best mentors at Superfly, I did realize through my experience that I would like to work more on the production side of marketing in the future. Getting more experience with hands on production is something I wish I could have changed about my experience, but overall, that is a very small critique as I will work more with this in the future!

Advice

As the internship was unpaid, I wish I had looked into more scholarship programs that would have provided me with a stipend of some sort. Although the experiences I had through Superfly were priceless, living in New York City is also very expensive.
