Ability to work on real marketing materials and mentorship from Sr Graphic Designer. The company has a fast paced timeline and teaches interns how to work more quickly and accurately when designing. I also enjoyed assisting on photoshoots as they show an important part of consumer fashion.
What I wish was different
The team had had some issues with losing many employees before my internship and the administration seemed disjointed throughout my time there. It was hard to learn much about the industry as there was a lack of superiors to assist my personal growth as an intern. I also feel that this internship should have been compensated as it was much more a work experience than a learning one.
Advice
Make sure you are familiar with the work environment at a company before accepting a job, and try to negotiate paid internships rather than college credit as most internships have you doing the job of a normal employee.
