Motion Design Intern
Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Chicago, is looking for the next up-and-coming designer to join our creative team this spring. As our Motion Design Intern, you’ll learn the ins and outs of bringing digital campaigns to life in motion (think social campaigns, brand videos, sizzle reels, and display ads). You’ll also partner with seriously talented designers to support visual design assets. Along the way, you’ll play a role in up-leveling our creative and gain a greater understanding of everything that goes into creating a show-stopping marketing campaign.
This is a paid, part-time & temporary position (18-20 hours per week) that will ideally be onsite one day a week in our Chicago office (for local candidates). The timeframe for the internships is April through early August, but we will work with the candidate to align on the specific dates.
Here’s a sneak peek of what you could be doing in a typical day:
Brainstorming: Participate in creative brainstorm meetings and contribute to the development of creative work
Motion Design Support: Assist in creating animations, graphics, and visual effects for various projects and aspect ratios (social, OLV, explainer videos, and sizzle reels)
Brand Design and Production: Concept and design campaign assets and brand collateral, including templates, infographics, and presentations
Agency Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with internal teams to create social media assets and blog visuals as well as refine slide decks to ensure brand alignment
Organizational Support: Organize motion design templates as well motion, image, video, font, and music libraries
Production Assistance: Support various post-production tasks, including backing up raw footage, color correcting, pulling selects, organizing files, and creative resizes
Presenting Work: Shadow designers during client presentations and get an inside look at one of the most critical parts of the job - presenting work and communicating ideas to clients with opportunities to share your own work

Experience receiving feedback from creatives and clients (and how to roll on through)
Well-rounded toolkit of stronger design skills, having worked alongside interaction designers, motion designers, copywriters, content strategists, and creative directors
Polished, impressive motion pieces you’ll be proud to add to your portfolio
Is this you?
Completed a minimum of 3 semesters or equivalent in your program
Background and proficiency in motion design and editing across various channels
Passion for motion, visual design, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the digital marketing industry
Strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, After Effects and Premiere Pro. Knowledge of Figma is a plus.
Eagle eye for detail and a strong knowledge of design principles
Highly organized with the ability to work independently and pick up new concepts quickly
Ready, eager, and able to roll up your sleeves
Not afraid to ask A LOT of questions
Experience and/or education within graphic design, interaction design, design production, marketing, or advertising fields
