Production Intern (AAI)

Our Teams

Zynga’s Applied AI group focuses on developing innovative ways to address problems within the game development process, demonstrating directly the ways that AI can make valuable contributions. Our first title, Spell Forest, is available for download and builds on our technology stack, designed to demonstrate what we call "AI-First Game Development".

The team’s production role primarily focuses on planning, tracking, and reporting on initiative progress, facilitating collaboration, and leading meetings. Candidates should be interested in supporting groundbreaking innovation in the areas of Game Development, Machine Learning and Computational Creativity - but a deep understanding of these fields is not required. A passion for games is definitely an advantage!

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple work streams and provide regular project status reports on deliveries. Identify potential risks and proposed solutions, and regularly communicate key details to the team and to leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to build and refine the overall project roadmap, decomposing tasks into concrete milestones and setting realistic schedules for completion.
  • Partner with leadership to iterate on processes and policies that allow the team to efficiently produce a high quality product on time and on budget.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • This role is 30 hours per week
  • Experience leading Agile/Waterfall development processes to successful, timely delivery.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle. A familiarity with AI or Machine Learning techniques is not vital but is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, and develop mutually agreeable solutions to problems encountered.
  • Motivation to own outcomes and operate relatively independently while maintaining efficiency.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (predominantly Outlook and Excel) and Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence/Wiki) or other similar tools is a plus.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $40 and $46 per hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
