Showroom Assistant
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Showroom Assistant’s main responsibilities is to provide stock room support and customer service as well as help with the day-to-day operations of the showroom as assigned by senior management. Main duties will include fulfilling memo sample requests, handling mailing/shipping/receiving needs for samples and product, replenishing samples, stock checks, inventory, and transfer orders etc.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Request product from inventory as necessary
· Assist in organizing stock room, including numerous trays of memo samples
· Fulfill and ship all Chicago showroom and Midwest customer sample requests
· Assists with the display of new inventory in the Samuel & Sons showroom
· Replenishes stock and showroom supplies
· Assists with the performance of inventory audits as requested
· Fulfill Outside Sales Associate sample requests, as directed
· All other duties as assigned by Senior Management
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Organizational ability
- Must be able to multi-task
- Passion for design and good sense of color a plus
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Professional presentation
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Applications and Excel
- High School diploma/GED (Design background a plus)
