Event Production Intern

StarEvents is seeking two Event Production Interns that will play a vital role in the development of our event timelines, vendor, and city relations. These interns will work with the events team learning the ins and outs of event planning. They will work to ensure that all events are properly registered through the city and work to build relationships with key stakeholders and vendors under direct supervision from the Event Manager.
OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the main StarEvents email account and respond accordingly
- Assist in the process of submitting street closures and insurance
- Work with food vendors to secure proper permits and compliance
- Manage packing for event and ensure all items are returned to office
- Help to maintain office servers and accounting binders to ensure all proper paperwork is filed
- Assist with finalizing event specifications with the direction of the client and Event Manager
- Create timelines for event logistics and assist in map creation
- Work to ensure all vendors are properly registered
- Create and maintain databases and documents
- Speak with vendors to solidify load in and set up plans
- Work to process event applications
- Other duties as assigned

EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in on-site event execution, including set up and break-down
- Ensure all materials are placed correctly and returned to correct location during break-down
- Help to lead provider placement
- Execute and ensure event quality
- Resolve any logistics conflicts on site
- Work to properly place all vendors and build relationships while on-site
- Serve as on-site event support for all vendors and sponsors
- Ensure all vendors/sponsors receive ordered materials
- Help manage staffing and check-in onsite
ELIGIBILITY
- This is a full time position from 9am-5pm Tuesday through Friday

- Candidates should be enthusiastic about event planning
- Must have moderate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Office and Google Drive
- Able to stand for extended periods and tolerate inclement weather
- Fluency in Spanish preferred (not required)
