Marketing Production Coordinator, Intern - 2021

Jack Henry & Associates is seeking to hire a motivated, collaborative Production Coordinator, Intern to join our award-winning marketing team for the Summer of 2021. Under close supervision, the Production Coordinator will play a key role in entering, tracking, managing, and reporting on projects associated with our FY21 Marketing Priorities. Throughout the 10-week program, the chosen candidate will learn the strategy and detail behind how a major B-to-B marketing organization creates an annual plan to support corporate and sales goals, translates that plan into actionable objectives, implements and manages that plan, and reports on results.

The intern will work as a member of our small and dedicated Marketing Planning and Operations team, in which each team member fully supports the others in a highly collaborative environment. The intern will also interact regularly with brand marketing specialists, our creative, digital, events, and corporate communications teams, and others across the marketing organization who are dispersed across the US. 

To be successful in this role, the intern needs strong critical thinking and organizational skills, the ability to understand complex data streams, and a highly collaborative personality. Upon completion of the internship the intern should have the necessary skills to assume an entry level Production Coordinator or Traffic Coordinator role in an organization or ad agency. This position will be hired in Charlotte, NC. The internship program begins June 7, 2021 and ends August 13, 2021. Based on successful completion of the 10-week program and business-unit need, continued employment will be offered.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently be enrolled at an accredited university or college
  • Pursue a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, or Business Management. 
  • Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. 
  • Be able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship with minimum absences. 
  • Be a registered junior or senior by internship start date.
  • Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time. 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in working with a team to accomplish objectives.
  • Understanding of marketing principles, tactics, and production techniques.
  • Ability to create a project plan with multiple deliverables and timelines.
  • Experience in report generation and interpretation.
  • Course work in project management, data analysis, or statistics would be beneficial but are not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  
  • Works on projects and tasks that are pertinent to the needs of the business unit by applying knowledge, experience and/or education.
  • Works with other team members to learn and assist with projects relevant to the department and pursuit of degree.
  • Assists the team in their day-to-day functions of servicing our clients or internal customers.
  • Assisting with special projects as needed.
  • Essential functions to be specified at the department level.
  • Begins with a new employee orientation and concludes 10 weeks later with a final project retrospective.
