St. Louis's number one independently owned and operated furniture store for over five decades is seeking a friendly person who enjoys interacting with customers. Experience in a detailed office position is a big plus. College students also tend to do very well in this position. Hours include Saturdays (8 hours, rotating shift), Sundays (6 hours, rotating shift paid at premium rate), and three weekday shifts (9-5:30 or 12:30-9). Memorial Day, Labor Day, and New Years Day are also required.

Job duties are related to waiting on customers at the sales counter and on the phone, and include the following:

-entering customers' personal information and any other comments or changes into the computer after the salesperson has made the initial arrangements

-taking in payments and scheduling deliveries

-explaining financing, sending customer info to finance co, printing contracts

-helping customers understand their account balance when they have multiple sales and credits & calculating refunds or $ on account

-entering the necessary information into customers' sales and communicating to other departments when there are any changes or special circumstances
