Piano instructor
The Red Cloud Piano Lab is a unique learning setting that trains young beginner students in practice skills in addition to piano skills. Students meet each week for an hour in a four-person lab where they work 80% on independent projects and 20% on group music learning. Red Cloud is looking to hire someone with exceptional classroom management skills and an understanding of the mental and emotional (psychological) elements of learning. They must also, of course, have strong piano skills and pedagogy knowledge.
This piano instructor will:
- Be trained in and use the Red Cloud methodology + curriculum
- Teach hour-long labs on weekdays after school or Saturdays.
- Create lesson plans and build community with students' families outside of teaching hours.
