Digital Image Technician
DIGITAL IMAGE TECHNICIAN. The Digital Archive Group, a leader in the creation of digital archives for leading corporations, sports teams and entertainers, is looking to add to our team of professional Digital Image Technicians in our Buffalo Grove, IL archival facility.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will have a general interest in archives, history and photography. As an image tech, you will be a part of a collaborative team working to digitize and preserve the legacies of notable clients. You will be working as a team and will be required to hit team goals of assets scanned and processed per day. This is currently a full-time job.
The image tech will be trained on all facets of the project including; image preparation, Phase One digital-back camera operation, image capture, adjusting the image capture settings, post processing, cropping, light editing, adding metadata and quality control.
The candidate should have excellent communication skills; high ability to effectively multitask and meet deadlines; high willingness to perform repetitive tasks; highly detail-oriented.
REQUIREMENTS:
As a key requirement, applicants should have 1-3 years experience with Phase One / Capture One software, Photoshop, Lightroom or equivalent photo editing software to process digital images. Knowledge of indexing and applying metadata to photographic files and file conversion into multiple formats is essential.
Physical Demands: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to withstand long periods of repeating tasks, standing, sitting, and looking at a computer monitor for 7-8 hours on a daily basis.
Working Environment: Individual must be able to work in a collaborative team environment which is fast paced and has daily goals to meet and exceed. Candidate must have a reliable mode of transportation to the work facility.
