Digital Marketing: Social Media (Summer Intern)
The Digital Marketing Division at CMSBC is seeking motivated, resourceful and tech-savvy creatives majoring in Human Resources, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Arts, and Advertising to join our team for three months this summer, part-time -- to serve as social media interns. A minimum commitment of twenty hours per week is required. The interns will work directly with the digital marketing team to strategize, craft, and execute content for platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Applicants should have a strong level of experience with these channels, a demonstrated writing ability, marketing savvy, organizational skills, the ability to work both as part of a team and solo, and creativity to spare.
Duties include:
- Collaborating with the social media team and the larger CMSBC enterprise as a whole to gain an understanding of how and what we communicate to reach our primary audiences.
- Conceptualizing, creating, and publishing daily content (combining both original text and images as well as text, images, and videos) that shares stories of our businesses’ successes, builds meaningful connections, and encourages engagement.
- Employing innovative tactics to grow the audiences of both CMSBC and client social media accounts.
Working knowledge of Hootsuite is a plus.
As an intern, you will complete various tasks related to department initiatives, while collaborating with industry experts. This includes, and is not limited to, assisting in daily departmental activities, taking part in special projects, and lending a hand with research.
This internship may be completed for college credit, or for experiential learning in an unpaid capacity. Those seeking college credit from this internship must attach documentation from their school that outlines their school's internship requirements/parameters, as part of their application package.
