Garmentier is a quickly growing Fashion x Technology startup based in Chicago. We have created the first all-in-one online platform for Stylists and Personal Shoppers to start, grow and scale their businesses.
Garmentier is excited to an internship that encompasses many different aspects of the retail & technology businesses. We are looking for a hard-working team player who is extremely detail-oriented, organized, positive, and has an eye for style. The right candidate will be interested in shopping, personal styling, public relations, retail technology, and e-commerce. The Garmentier environment is fast-paced and the position is hands-on. This role will start in January 2021 and requires a minimum commitment of 2.5 - 3 full days per week for a three month period.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation and execution of online and/or in-store pulls for client appointments
- Assisting Stylists during virtual/in-person client consultations
- Assisting Stylists with creating proposals for new clothing purchases for their clients
- Tracking store pull items and storing receipts for clients in Airtable/Google Sheets, or in the Garmentier software platform
- Supporting communication with our retail partners in a professional and courteous manner
- Returning/Shipping clothing pull items to stores or shipping facilities
- Coordinating tailoring pick-up/drop-off schedule, and keeping track of tailoring items
- Creating client invoices in Garmentier & finding the applicable garment photos to add into clients' digital wardrobes
- Assisting with inventory and pricing as related to our custom clothing and fabric vendors
- Assisting our Retail Operations Manager with other platform-related tasks
- Assisting in the fulfillment of fabric book shipments, custom clothing orders, and tailored garments
- Assisting in the execution of training sessions for platform users
- Running errands related to styling jobs
- Communicating with vendor and manufacturer contacts, sometimes on company's behalf
- Coordinating the fulfillment and delivery of fabric book shipments, custom clothing orders, and tailored garments

Requirements
- Self motivated and Pro-active
- Proficient in Google Docs including Slides & Sheets, Airtable a plus
- Able to multi-task
- Reliable/responsible
- Eager to learn
- Familiar with Fashion Designers/Brands is a plus
- Familiar with Photoshop a plus
- Positive energy
- Be available
- Have an eye for design and style
- Must love to shop! (virtually or in-person)
- Must be able to work a full 8-10 hour day when scheduled
- Must be able to commit to 3 days per week, (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9 AM - 6 PM), for a 3-month period.
