Copywriting Internship
Calling all wordsmiths! We are looking for a stellar and passionate intern at our office in downtown Chicago. Matrix Partners is an award-winning brand strategy and communications firm focusing on the consumer pet products industry, with a love of all things pet. This is an unpaid position but may be applied toward college credit if applicable.
The Copywriting Intern will provide entry-level assistance to the Creative Team and Client Services VP’s, creating and developing content for social media, new business pitches, websites, blogs, and outreach campaigns. Interns in this role should be capable of writing creative and strategically relevant content for a variety of mediums. Candidates should have enthusiasm for writing, brainstorming and proofreading, plus a passion for CPG pet marketing.
• Must have personal laptop loaded with MS Office Applications
• Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint for Windows
• An interest in social media content creation a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent command of English language and grammar
• Stong organizational and editorial skills with a keen attention to detail
• Have the ability to listen and work collaboratively with team members from various creative disciplines
• Help create impactful and relevant content for a large variety of marketing materials
• Work with the graphic design team and project managers to see projects through from conception to
completion, including brainstorming, editing and proofreading
• Assist in drafting client tone documents
• Work with design team to create messaging for web banners, social media posts, Constant Contact,
PowerPoint presentations, sales sheets and more
• Accurately proofread written material and artwork
