Public Programs Intern

Chicago Collections Consortium Public Programs intern will work closely with the Executive Director of Chicago Collections Consortium (CCC) and CCC’s Committees which include Communications and Programming. The selected intern would have the unique opportunity to be part of the creation of new marketing materials that promote CCC’s programming partnership with the Terra Foundation. Candidates should possess a sincere interest in learning the fundamentals of marketing and communications of programs in the areas of art and design. Knowledge of program development and social media marketing methods are desired, as well as coursework in art history, history and historic preservation. Public Programs Intern Chicago Collections Consortium is seeking individuals interested in Marketing, Communications, Art History, Education, History, Public History, Historic Preservation or other related fields. Projects include: Assisting with the organization, and promotion of public programs and workshops proposed in partnership with the Terra Foundation. Support and efforts would be concentrated on the creation of marketing tools aiding in outreach and promotion to new virtual audiences. Desired Skills - Strong organizational and communication skills - Strong computer skills - Ability to work virtually and independently - Writing skills - Research Responsibilities - Assist in promotion of public programs - Provide support in the creation of marketing tools for social media channels - Assisting in organization and facilitation of online events - Researching marketing ideas for internal and external audiences - Develop methods of outreach to new audiences pertinent to the topics being discussed
