Sponsorship Summer Internship
The Sponsorship intern will report to the Sponsorship Manager and work within the greater marketing department. This position will support sponsorship sales and account management efforts. The intern will learn what role corporate sponsorship plays within a nonprofit arts institution that sits at the niche crossroads of culture and commerce. This internship presents great opportunities to shadow various roles within a museum.
Specific Internship Duties:
- Comb through daily lead generation alerts and other applicable publications on LinkedIn, AdWeek, etc to identify new contacts and applicable brands
- Maintain up-to-date contact database
- Coordinate gifting efforts around holidays and recaps
- Assist in creation of proposals for in-kind and monetary sponsorships
- Participate in the collation of campaign and sponsorship recaps
- Attend internal meetings to identify content with commercial potential
- Attend local events to observe, learn, and connect with industry peers
- Research existing brand relationships related to country music
- Assist with fulfillment of contracted deliverables
- Track in-kind sponsorship usage
- Facilitate on-property guest surveys measuring sponsor recall
- Greet and escort clients on-property for meetings and special events on an as-needed basis
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in customer and/or client service role
- High School diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree or coursework in marketing or related field
- Interest in business development and sales
- Passion for nontraditional marketing
- Knowledge of country music is helpful
