WEB DESIGN INTERNSHIP (Spring/Summer/Fall 2019)

In this role, you’ll be able to share your creativity and innovative ideas while developing digital designs on our corporate website, working alongside our talented web design/digital teams! Based at our headquarters in Kenosha, WI (near Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL), you’ll create and implement digital designs to drive usage and consumer engagement and have a voice in a fast-growing department! If you have a passion for design in all media, attention to detail, and a zest to learn while gaining pertinent business experience, this position is for you! JOCKEY is a premier local employer, offering the following employee perks:

In this role, you will:
  • Concept and execute across a full range of screen sizes, digital touch points and domains, including wholesale emails and banners, e-mail campaigns, landing pages, icons, social media assets, promotional banners, and online advertising campaigns.
  • Develop multivariate testing options for all digital design work. 
  • Perform maintenance and updates to existing web sites, including content updates and error correction.
  • Present and review artwork throughout the production process and provide quality assurance.
  • Direct retouching, color calibration, and digital optimization of images for presentation on the web.
 
Candidate Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent (current junior or senior preferred).
  • Proficiency in the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver or other code text editor, Acrobat, and Mac OS.
  • Ability, or desire to learn how, to create and edit HTML and CSS.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task, with proficient organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated, positive problem-solver. Must be organized, accountable and have careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school semesters (work schedule is flexible to accommodate class schedules), additional hours available in summer 2019.
