Social Media Intern for Chicago-Based Skincare Business

Internship Description
What makes an angel on earth? How do we get people all around the world to embrace their inner angel? These are the questions that our social media intern will have to ask themselves as they prepare social media, marketing strategies, and advertising functions for our small business. We are looking for a creative and charismatic college student to help develop content that will increase brand awareness and drive sales while staying on strategy with the goals and mission of the Flora’s Angels brand. This internship will provide you great experience for entry-level positions in advertising and marketing after graduation.

The program will begin April 1st and the Social Media Intern will play a critical role on the team, creating ~9 pieces of weekly content for use across Facebook and Instagram, participating in brand strategy calls, and working very closely with the owner to better understand the goals and objectives behind our approach. Interns will also:
  • Develop an entrepreneurial business mentality
  • Witness ethics, compliance and business conduct issues pertaining to our industry
  • Learn time management requirements when working with individual agents or teams.
  • Learn the needs of the small business and individual target markets
  • Learn social media marketing and analytics
  • Learn how to apply marketing skills and tactics
  • Learn marketing tracking techniques
  • Create social media content

Selection Criteria
  • Local college students with a 3.0 GPA or better
  • Recommended majors: marketing, advertising, business administration.
  • Energetic, organized and detailed skilled with today’s technology.
  • Active in extracurricular activities within community and campus life
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment
  • Independent worker
  • Creative and active on social media platforms
  • Ability to dedicate 4-6 hours per week to this intern program.

  • A $500 stipend will be provided in three installments, across the three-month program. If both parties are aligned, internship can be extended for another three months.
  • Owner will provide a letter of recommendation, LinkedIn recommendation and can be added as a professional reference
  • Learn social media analytics and advertising from owner, who is also Director of Social Media Analytics at one of Chicago’s top digital media agencies
