Videographer/Documentarian

Project Based Role: Videographer/Documentarian
Pay: Based on experience

Care Advisors is seeking a videographer/documentarian who can help guide our video strategy and capture our work at youth shelters in the Chicago-area. The videographer/documentarian is responsible for creating video content that conveys the value and importance of our work in youth shelters to various stakeholders. Through creative video storytelling, we hope to inspire the investment of time, resources, ideas, advocacy, influence, and more from all Care Advisors’ audiences. We're seeking a candidate who will produce high-quality video projects within designated deadlines and budgets. The preferred candidate will oversee the creation of our documentary, the scheduling of productions, the editing and compilation of final videos (from our work in youth shelters in other States) in order to finalize the documentary. In addition, the producer/director will work closely with our company’s leadership and stay abreast of video industry trends.

Experience/Skills
Currently has or is working on: Bachelor's degree in Film, Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university and some level of experience related to the above described duties. Requires a competent understanding of current video software recognized as industry standards such as all Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc. Knowledge of lighting techniques and audio techniques as well as positioning are required as is a strong working knowledge of video equipment. The candidate should have excellent time management skills as well as the ability to stay on budget and meet deadlines. A professional portfolio that represents a knowledge and competency of high-quality video production work is required.
