Videography Intern | HUBBARD STREET DANCE CHICAGO
Hubbard Street’s Videography Intern is primarily responsible for working with artistic and marketing staff to complete all video requests/needs. Videography Interns work on a large variety of creative projects directly in support of Hubbard Street's mission, while building a rich video portfolio with studio, theater and interview/documentary-style footage.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Taping performances, studio showings, rehearsals, interviews, and other events as needed
- Producing clips for presenters, the company website, YouTube or other internet usage
- Editing, converting, and compressing full performances
- Editing large amounts of footage to small, comprehensive segments
- Watermarking full pieces
- Creating repertoire DVDs
- Copying DVDs
- Retrieving work from archives for use by choreographers and dancers
- Updating video database
- Updating and maintaining organizational structure of external hard drives
- Assisting in rental or acquisition of appropriate visual and audio equipment
- Use of the following Mac programs: iMovie, Motion, Cinematize, Compressor, Final Cut, VLC and other video conversion software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as Mac software helpful.
