Interior Design Assistant

INTERIOR DESIGNER ASSISTANT
Chameleon Concepts Interior Design is a Chicago based Bar and Restaurant Design firm with a national clientele. We have a passion for all things Art/Design/Food related. 

We are a small boutique design firm that specializes in Bar and Restaurant Design. Our customer base is rapidly growing and we are looking for someone to grow with us. The company has over 24 years experience in the industry and we are currently in the process of rebranding to meet the next 24+ years. We are a casual company in a fast-paced industry if you are as passionate about the food and beverage industry as you are about design, this might be the place for you!

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, detail oriented and a problem solver. He or she has a high degree of creativity and is willing to push the envelope. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication and language skills and who is able to understand and follow instructions with great attention to detail. Good time management, the ability to prioritize and the ability to meet deadlines are imperative.

Responsibilities:
·        Assist in all aspects of the design process from start to finish
·        Sourcing and selection of FF&E
·        Project management of design projects including finish schedules and documents
·        Pricing FF&E and managing orders
·        Assistance with invoicing and administration on projects
·        Project management of all FF&E purchases
·        Space Planning in AutoCAD including elevations and renderings
·        Executing AutoCAD construction documents including electrical and lighting
·        Assistance with budget planning and management
·        Provide general support to clients when necessary


Requirements:
·        Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred
·        Minimum of one year experience or applicable internship
·        Experience in Commercial design a plus
·        Proficiency of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up, Revit, Microsoft Office
·        Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
·        Attention to detail and problem solving with an ability to prioritize work
·        Excellent written and verbal skills
·        Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
·        Positive attitude and a team player
·        Impeccable attention to detail
·        Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and own transportation
