Freelance CAD Designer
Chameleon Concepts Interior Design is a small boutique Chicago based Bar and Restaurant Design firm with a national clientele. We have a passion for all things Art/Design/Food related.
Our customer base is rapidly growing and we are looking for someone to grow with us. The company has over 24 years experience in the industry and we are currently in the process of rebranding to meet the next 24+ years. We are a casual company in a fast-paced industry; if you are as passionate about the food and beverage industry as you are about design, this might be the place for you!
We are looking for a freelance architect/designer to assist with creating construction documents and elevations for numerous projects. This is a freelance position to start but we would love for this to grow into a permanent position with our company. Commitment is 20-25 hours a week initially with the potential for much more.
Applicant needs to be self-motivated, communicative and MUST be available to communicate and complete work during business hours (9-5) and within set deadlines. Please do not apply if you have a full-time job and are unavailable during business hours.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, detail oriented and a problem solver. He or she has a high degree of creativity and is willing to push the envelope. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication and language skills and who is able to understand and follow instructions with great attention to detail. Good time management, the ability to prioritize and the ability to meet deadlines are imperative.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in ID/Architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, (Vectorworks+++) Revit, Photoshop and Sketch-Up a must.
- 2-3 years minimum experience preferred with a good understanding of commercial design and building practices.
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast paced environment
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Strong rendering skills
We need someone to start immediately on ID plans for a national restaurant project. Applicant does not have to be in the Chicago area but it is preferred as we would like to make this a full-time position. Please do not apply if located outside of the US.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
