Beauty Retoucher

The New York based studio team is seeking a Junior Beauty Retoucher who is able to perform a variety of tasks including retouching & correcting images for tarte’s website and promotional materials. This position is located in the newly opened, state of the art, Manhattan Photo and Content Studio which houses e-commerce and print photography, styling, art direction, image management, pre-media and more. Perform other duties as assigned. The role also entails working independently to meet strict deadlines while exhibiting photography and retouching skills.

 

• Work side by side with brand creative to edit, retouch, and clean both on-model & product images

• Assess any photo glitches in a timely fashion while adhering to a strict deadline

• Complete campaigns from start to finish, evaluating each image for completion

• Work both independently and with a team to post web, graphic, and copy design over all social and digital platforms

 

• Bachelor's Degree

• 1-3 years' of retouching photography experience in a digital print and/or web environment—open to self-starters who are highly organized.

• Experience retouching in on-line beauty retail is a plus.

• Beauty industry experience is a must (skincare or makeup)

• Proven proficiency with beauty retouching for print & digital

• Experience in editing photos for both digital and social platforms

• Ability to work well independently in house

• Skilled in all photo editing platforms, including Adobe and Photoshop

• Strong sense of color theory and understanding of color management

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills

• Ability to turn urgent content requests same-day, when needed

• Ability to adapt to change willingly

• Ability to learn new technology

• Ability to understand, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
