Engineering Intern, Content Platform (Summer 2019)

We are on the search for an Engineering Intern to join our Digital Content Platform team for an 8 week paid internship. iHeartMedia’s platforms include radio broadcasting (850+ stations), online, mobile, digital and social media, podcasts, personalities and influencers, live concerts and events, syndication, music research services and independent media representation.

You will be directly embedded with our engineering teams, working on projects critical to the success of our platform and products, and impacting the listening for millions of users. You will have exposure to the broader organization as a whole, in addition to the opportunity to learn from talented managers and mentors, who want to partner in your learning, as well as discuss careers in engineering at iHeartRadio. The ideal candidate for this internship is curious, self-motivated, eager to make an impact in a relatively short amount of time, and excited about music and media!

The iHeartRadio Content Platform team processes, transcodes, and ultimately publishes millions of songs, videos, and podcasts to our iHeartRadio applications. The team ingests and publishes hundreds of thousands of tracks monthly for a catalog of over 45 million media products.

You Have:
  • Currently pursuing a BA, BS, MA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative analytical field graduating between December 2018-August 2019
  • Experience programming with Python or other programming language
  • A desire to learn and develop full stack applications and message-based systems
  • A highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and team collaboration skills
