PACKAGING DESIGNER INTERNSHIP (Spring/Summer/Fall 2019)

 
Interested in gaining some experience in the graphic design production field? If so, this internship can be a perfect match for you! This role is located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area). We're looking for students pursuing a graphic design degree who like to solve problems and help others - all while gaining business experience to enhance your classroom/personal application experience. As a Packaging Designer Intern, you'll work alongside our packaging team to take approved packaging design concepts through final print production! If you have knowledge of design trends, techniques, and printing processes, this opportunity is right up your alley!

Job Scope:
  • Execute packaging artwork projects from hand-off of concept through final production – including production design work, proofing, routing artworks for approval, and preparing files for print.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and assets to complete projects.
  • Communicate status of packaging tasks to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain organized file management system and server.
 
Candidate Requirements:
  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor or Associate degree program in Graphic Arts or a related field.
  • Knowledge of print production processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of 4-color, spot, and digital printing process and pre-press requirements.
  • Experience with packaging production including printing on plastics.
  • Mastery of all Adobe software.
  • Acute attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to emerging priorities.
  • Meticulous organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Professional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work up to 15-25 hours per week – Spring 2019 semester, and beyond. (Flexible work schedule during school semesters to accommodate class schedules.)
