Professional Theatre - Interns and Apprentices for 2019-2020 Season
FST's Intern & Apprentice program is an immersive and comprehensive way to bridge the gap between academic theatre and the professional world and to provide additional training and experience to those individuals who are serious about careers as theatre professionals.
Florida Studio Theatre is a LORT D theatre in Sarasota, Florida. A village of five theatres, FST has grown to serve over 200,000 attendees with over 20 productions each year. Programming is vast and varied including contemporary new plays, musicals, cabarets, children's theatre, and improv.
Applicants must have a strong passion for theatre, a desire to learn more about professional theatre, and an interest in being a part of a community of artists.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years old (exception made for summer camp interns)
- Be able to commit to up to a year-long program. (starting in May or September)
- Have appropriate academic and/or professional experience.
- Be able to relocate to Sarasota for the length of the internship.
Compensation includes:
- Weekly stipend of $120
- Free furnished housing
- Utilities including cable and internet
- Complimentary tickets

Applicants for Acting Apprenticeships must also submit an audition via youtube link containing 2 contrasting contemporary monologues, 1 minute each. For actors who sing (not required) please also include 2 contrasting 32 bar cuts of musical theatre or pop/rock.
The priority application deadline for consideration is March 5, 2019.
