Dance Teaching Artist Internship
Design Dance is seeking 2 Teaching Artist Interns who are interested in shadowing professional dance educators, practicing leading classes of their own, and learning the administrative needs of an arts organization.
Design Dance believes in investing time, energy, and training into students and early career professionals as they delve into the world of dance/art education. Our intern program is designed to give individuals the tools to excel in the classroom. Through observation, mentorship, assisting opportunities and independent teaching opportunities, Design Dance sets up interns for success.
Teaching Artist Interns leave our internship with skills and experiences that will prepare them for a career in arts education and arts administration.
Please Note: Our internship opportunities are largely unpaid. However, as a thank you for your contributions you will receive a modest stipend at the conclusion of your internship experience.

Teaching Artist Interns should have a background in dance technique with experience in and/or facilitating dance programs. Strong communication skills required. Prior teaching experience not required.
